Owner and Clinical Director

As a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Mr. Specht is recognized as an expert specializing in the treatment of musculoskeletal, orthopedic and spinal conditions. Nationwide, only a small percentage of therapists successfully complete the coursework and pass the examination necessary to attain this credential. Greg accomplished his goal of becoming board certified in 1996, and he has devoted the past 16 years of his career to treating and caring for injured people.

Mr. Specht holds an undergraduate degree in physical therapy from Northeastern University and has completed the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. Greg holds additional certifications, as an Athletic Trainer with the National Athletic Trainers Association, and as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Furthermore, Greg continues to expand his knowledge base by attending educational seminars and courses regularly.

Prior to opening Specht Physical Therapy, Mr. Specht served as the Director of Physical Therapy at the Rhode Island Rehabilitation Institute, in Warren, Rhode Island; and he has worked for Brown University as an Athletic Trainer.

Mr. Specht is licensed in the State of Massachusetts and is an active member of a number of organizations including the American Physical Therapy Association's Orthopedic and Private Practice Sections, American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, National Strength and Conditioning Association, National Athletic Trainers Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. Finally, he has served as a Clinical Instructor for the physical therapy programs of Northeastern University, Simmons College, University of Rhode Island and The Finch University of Health Sciences, to name a few.

Mr. Specht's commitment to advanced training, and excellence in patient care, coupled with 16 years of clinical practice enables him to ensure that patients receive the best possible treatment.
